	    							  <link>http://www.gotogails.com/blog378108.html#1964</link>
								      <description>

Male Neutering and Female Spaying

Once upon a time, only 15 to 20 years ago, it was the common practice to fix only female animals. The dear male pets needed there stuff because the male owners could not deal with the issue.

So, my dear old male poodle Bubba made a nuisance anytime he had a hint of the aroma of love. He could eat dirt to get out of the fence. He could howl for hours wishing to be free. And he could pull free of a restraint and be gone over night. All nightlong dear Bubba could spend licking himself just because he can.

The attitudes of responsible pet owners have helped the issue of neutering males match the spaying of females. Due to the increase in the amount of pets left to fend for themselves by the side of roads, or abandoned in houses or turned in at shelters, many pet lovers now help sponsor clinics where the costs are kept at a minimum.

Vets had requested that the pet be over six months old, but that too has been proven not necessary. Now a pet over two months old can safely have the procedure.

So how do you get this done at a low cost or free for your pet? We live in the age of the Internet. There are thousands of websites with information for you.

Here are just some of the sites:

    www.lovethatcat.com/spayneuter.html

    www.neuterspay.org

3.www.spayusa.org

 4. www.pbc.net/speuter.html

    www.feralcatproject.org

The lists go on and on. Some are national directories. Some are local directories. All need to be examined by the pet owner before using the service. Check for cleanliness, helpfulness and exact requirements needed for the free service.

The pets are friends. They are not objects and need to be loved and cared for with health. A pet that has been neutered or spayed can live longer and be your best friend for their lifetime.

Bubba lived 18 years. He was a great friend and a good pet. Had Bubba been neutered, his life could have been happier. He would not have lived with the constant often-frantic need to escape and find love.

When the time came for a new pet, a new puppy came to live with us. She was spayed on her sixth month birthday. She is our best friend and already 10 years old.

							      	<title>Blog ID #1932: How to locate a Pet after a Disaster</title>
	    							  <link>http://www.gotogails.com/blog378108.html#1932</link>
<description>I could cry when I see the lost pets looking for their masters after a disaster. The recovery efforts often leave the pets behind. I found a great web page about this so I will share it with you.
In the hours and days following a major disaster, our minds teem with shock, horror, dismay, and bewilderment. If we've left a pet behind in the disaster zone, those emotions are doubled. However, even if, you don't have either photographs of your pets or any of their veterinarian records, it is still possible to reunite with the animal.
Things Youll Need:

Telephone numbers to animal shelters working in the disaster zone
    Disaster address
    Accurate description of pet
    Access to computer

							      	<title>Blog ID #1921: My Parrot Buster</title>
	    							  <link>http://www.gotogails.com/blog378108.html#1921</link>
<description>My dear parrot Buster is now spending time with my grandchildren in Indianapolis. The dear pet spent vacation with the kids. Jada, Jake and Elanie love Buster. She is a blue front Amazon and I was nervous about how she would do with them.
How foolish of me! Buster is the hit and loves all of the attention she gets from the family. She takes baths with the kids. They take her around the house and play house with her.
Buster loves to eat. The blue front Amazon bird is a member of a flock in the wild. She eats when the kids eat. She eats what the kids eat! She loves all kinds of food peanut butter and jelly is about her favorite!
I was lending her to the kids for 10 days. They think that I gave Buster to them. They tanked me over and over for the gift of the bird. So I left Buster with them for the time being.
If they get tired of Buster, I can pick her up any time. I know Buster is happy with all of the attention as Charles and I sometimes (ok frequently) did not play house with her, shower with her and give her enough time.
I miss Buster saying, Hello and Bye, bye. Sometimes I call out, Hello Buster and realize she is not there.
This is a bird expected to live 40 plus years. She is already 20 years old. She is very healty and will probably out live me. At least I know she is well cared for and happy.
I am not in the market for any more birds ever. I rescued Buster and now I will only rescue four legged pets.
I sell bird toys on ebay and know the joy the toys bring a bird.

<description>Had to leave my dear dog Coco for 10 days because the beach house did not allow pets. Some times vacations seem longer when waiting for it. But then it goes by so fast.
Was so happy to see Coco!</description>
